Spring Sports

Blewett Elementary is busy this May and June trying out different sports as part of Spring Activities.  Our two youngest groups of learners get to learn some soccer skills from a certified Whitecaps soccer coach.  Our two middle groups of learners visited the Nelson Tennis Club for expert tennis lessons.  Our two oldest groups of learners spent some time at Granite Pointe Golf Course with the general manager Reg Clarkson and his team learner some golf basics.  It is so nice being out in the community!

Terry Fox Run on September 28

Blewett Elementary will honour the memory of Terry Fox and support cancer research on Tuesday, September 28 at 1:30 pm.  Our entire school will participate in the run (weather-permitting) in a spaced-out and organized way.  We really would love to have every student and staff member donate a toonie for us to pass along to the Terry Fox Foundation.  Students and staff are encouraged to wear bright colours with Mr. Mush on this special day.  Who will your family think about as our kids run on that day?

It's the start of another new year!

Hello Blewett families!

Check your email inbox for THE email that gives you all the important information on the start-up of the 21/22 school year.  It was sent from our admin system on Thursday, September 2 around 1 pm.  For some platforms it can take as much as 24 hours to arrive in your inbox.  Hotmail is the slowest provider for our emails to get through and this is province-wide!

Get plenty of sleep for our start-up!  It's going to be exciting!

See you all soon!

Mr. Mush and staff
