February is Black History Month
Good Day All,
I'm excited that this month is another opportunity for us to pay attention to the wonderful things that tie us together and the beauty in what make us all unique. February is Black History Month and we have a special guest performance by Shayna Jones this Friday for the kids. Shayna is a local artist that has performed across the country. Her folklore story telling and dance will be something exciting to experience for the kids. Welcome Shayna!
February also means Valentines Day! Our PAC will be organizing a Valentines Day dance at lunch time on February 14th. Stay tunned for more information.
This Monday we have Joan Exley in from our public library to present the "Come Read with Me" workshop for parents of grade 1 and 2 students. Parents can be here on Monday (Feb 6th) at 8:20am to learn tips on how to read with your children in a fun and engaging way. A reading tool kit with games and books are included. See you then!

- Outdoor Activity Day: We will have extra outdoor time at 1:30 pm today instead of the morning. Please have your child dress for the weather.

- Gr 4-6 Skiing at Whitewater

- Chess club at long recess
