September Excitement!
This last week was an exciting one. We were lucky to be visited by a handful of up and coming teachers from UBC - West Kootenay Teacher Program. Our visitors were very impressed with how our classes are set up with routines that foster a sense of belonging and engagement.
A big thank you goes out to Ms.Wood for organizing the Scholastic Book Fair and to all those who chipped in to help. I also received great feedback from parents regarding their visits to their child’s classroom for our open house.
On Tuesday you will find permission forms in your child's backpack for the "Learn to Ride" event which will be on October 7th at BES. Parents should have permission forms back in by Wednesday, Oct 2nd if possible. If parents need to store a bike at school prior to the event, we can place them on our stage.
I hope you all have a fantastic long weekend and you’re able to find a moment on Monday to reflect on Truth and and Reconciliation.
